The remainder of August was filled with joy and wonder. We experienced our first earthquake, which was really scary.
We received a second-hand Elmo Chair, which is universally loved by all. (When we returned from our trip last night, Cora ran to the chair squealing in delight and gave it a big kiss.)
We celebrated Cora's friend, Griffin's first birthday by going to a playground filled with rowdy kids and negligent parents.
We made it through a hurricane and surveyed the damage down at the waterfront the next day. The damage was minimal and the day was beautiful.
Cora discovered our neighbor's cucumbers.
And decided that she wanted to be a ballerina.
Overall, August was good.
