Our Adventures: The Cousins Take London

At the end of May, Cora, Mom, and I took a little trip over the Atlantic to visit Claire, Jim, Evie, and Millie! This was Cora's first international flight, and she was stoked. LaLa told her all she needed to know about international travel.

Many hours later, we arrived in London, some of us having slept, others having not slept. Cora immediately made herself at home at the Avant flat! She met Evie for the second time, though basically it was the first time since the first time was when Cora was about one month old, or younger. Anyway, it was love at first sight. Cora thinks that Evie is the COOLEST. She met Millie for the first time, as Millie was still inside her mama's belly when Cora could conceivably be said to have met her for the first time. It's all very complicated. Cora thinks Millie is pretty awesome, too, though she's much more quiet and less mobile than Evie.

As soon as we arrived, Cora had some tea.

And then mingled with her cousins.

And eventually, Cora and Evie got to enjoy their first bath together, and it was a sight to behold. Those girls are nuts.

We did a lot of walking around and going to parks and playgrounds while we were in London. It was perfect!! One day, we visited an urban farm:

In addition to chickens, there were hogs, cows, horses (or maybe I made that up), ducks, dogs, and goats! Lala picked up a baby goat (what are they called?) and was reprimanded by the dude who worked there. After that, we went to Hampstead Heath and played at the playground! Cora LOVES sandboxes!

On another day, we took a picnic and walked to Primrose Hill (which also, coincidentally, has a playground with a sandbox). It was green and lush and beautiful and there were all kinds of people out and about enjoying the lovely weather! At this point, I think it was snowing in the DC area, so I was happy to be in another country.

On the Sunday we were there, we attended an Easter Egg hunt put on by some organization Claire is involved with whose name I can't remember. Evie was a superb egg hunter. Cora wasn't too into and Millie wasn't interested in the least. She looked super cute, though.

There was a kind of creepy old looking clown at the Easter Egg hunt. Some kids were into him, other kids (Evie) were totally not into him.

Cora was dubious...

Cora was, however, kind of into the Easter Bunny! (though you can't really tell from this one picture.) There are professional pictures that were taken where Cora looks much more happy visiting with the Easter Bunny, but that would mean I have to pay for them to get them, so....
