A Babylicious 4th of July

This 4th of July, we went to Tallulah because Will and Hope were going to be there! And Mom and Dad too, but that goes without saying. It was very exciting, because I had only seen Will once (for like one night) in nearly two years AND we had never met Hope! Hope rocks! I probably drove her crazy asking her child care questions...

This trip was ALSO very exciting because Joe and Melissa and LOUIS!!!! came to stay for a night! Louis is just awesome and some day, when we all live in the same town, he and Cora will be best buds forever.
Melissa thought Cora was pretty awesome too. She and I are on the same page.
Louis is a hunka-hunka boy for sure! Big feet like his daddy, too.
Cora didn't know what all the fuss was about, but Louis figured the occassion was a good enough one to eat his hand about. Louis, Cora has since successfully figured out how to stick her entire fist in her mouth AND her foot. You would be proud.
The big kids (and Louis) all went swimming in the wonderful salt water pool. Poor Hope forgot her swimsuit, so she got to wear the burka swimsuit. She rocked it.

Here, Louis shows us how strong he is in his Bumbo. Cora couldn't hold her head up well enough to sit in her bumbo at that point, but she can now!! These babies change quickly!! Guess who picked out that onesie? Hmmm??

BFF's already!

Louis: Dude. Why are you screaming so much?
Cora: Back off. Why are you wearing that onesie? Are you calling me stupid? If I realized you were there, I might take offense.

I wonder now if Cora would notice Louis more. She just kind of seemed to think he wasn't even there, while he totally noticed her. But how couldn't one notice a thing of such beauty? Especially in her Aretha Franklin Bow 4th of July Outfit?

He's a little over two months older than her. I call this photo, "Thunder Thighs and Chicken Legs."

Because the REAL bow (also very Aretha Franklin) wouldn't fit on Cora's head, Louis rocked it for a little while. He's not afraid.
Obviously, as you can tell by the zombie-esque looks on Joe and Andy's faces, something really good was on tv. And it was. The annual world championship hotdog eating competition. Fascinating.
Since they are destined to be BFF's forever, Melissa decided that Cora and Louis should just go ahead and start holding hands. These two will probably find us very annoying when they get a bit older.
But for now, Louis likes Cora just fine. At least, as a chew toy.
Donna and Charles came by for a little while on the 4th to visit, so Cora, of course, got to meet more people! She's so popular.
This picture is for Aunt Claire. Happy 4th of July! We had to pin the head thingy to keep it on, but she rocked it!
Two days after returning to Georgia from this visit, we packed up and moved. It was a whirlwind summer, but I wouldn't have skipped one bit of it!
