Our friends, Jen and Matt, hosted a fantastic Halloween Costume Party last night! It was so much fun! Most of the decorations were assembled by Matt and myself, and they were so awesome that they deserve their own blog. I can not claim to have made any of the delicious food, however. That was all Matt. Except for my famous rice krispie treats. That was allll me.
Inside, we hung some cobwebs, complete with very creepy looking glittery spiders of various sizes.

We also hung lights around the bathroom door and on the bathroom mirror. You can't see them, but they are green flashing skeletons in various states of de-bonement (if that's a word) due to their having been used in several previous Halloweens in BR.
Over lunch, we came up with names of all the food to be served at the party. Matt and Jen went all Martha Stewart on our asses and came up with some really cute party ideas. I can't decide what my favorite food name was, but Phil's Deer In The Headlights Dip was AWESOME.
Outside, we hung more lights. These are some my mom gave me years ago! They've gotten much use and looked perfect on Jen and Matt's porch. Matt has mad light-hanging skills.
I didn't help with these door decorations, but they still looked good!
The vampire came courtesy of Jen's family. He was totally creepy.
Finally, we worked on some more pumpkins. I carved this guy in a hurry towards the end of the afternoon when Andy finally called me to tell me he was headed home from work. It was a big pumpkin and he deserved a sufficiently scary scowl. Thankfully, Jen cleaned him up a bit when she got home from work, so the final result was much more appealing than this.
And now for some more Martha. Take a pumpkin, some rats, an apple-corer (we used an actual hole puncher for pumpkins) and any additional knife. Cut out circles. Insert rats. 
Tah-dah!!!
