A HOLIDAY BIRTHDAY TREE TRIMMING PARTAY!

It's Holiday time again, and we brought in the season with a fun Birthday/Tree Trimming party last night! Andy put lights on the tree and Mom and Dad helped us prepare the snacks and drinks. Dad also gave us a lifetime supply of wood for the fireplace. It's 80 degrees today.

All of my favorite people came, including lots of co-workers! Things were a little quiet at first, but once people started drinking Andy's toxic Eggnog, Holiday Punch and other fun cocktails, things loosened up a bit.

For this partay, Andy asked everyone to bring a tacky Christmas ornament to put on our tree. He proposed a contest and got rewards for first, second and third place! Below are the ornaments and their givers.

AND NOW, THE WINNERS OF THE TACKY CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT COMPETITION......

For her frog princess with very long creepy fingernails which grossed Andy out, Amanda won the third place prize, a mistletoe/candy cane headband!

For their very special pigeon-toed pig lady holding pom-poms (we think) ornament, Liz and Blake won the second place prize, a singing Santa tie!

Coming in with the first place ornament is Vickie! Her framed picture of a rather disliked ex-coworker won the hearts of all involved, especially said ex-coworker's former co-workers who were at the partay. For this particularly tacky ornament, Vickie won the first prize gift of a Santa's Little Helper baseball cap!

Finally, we have a special recognition that we could not ignore. My colleague, Chris, brought a lovely, rather large brassiere with which to decorate our tree.

In recognition of the sheer klassyness of Chris' "ornament", he received the prize of the Marshmallow Santa!

Now, my dear best friends Joe and Melissa could not be at the partay because they were out of town, but Melissa contributed none-the-less. Melissa is the Martha Stewart of the Midwest, so I knew that whatever ornament she said she was making by hand would be the klassiest ornament ever. I did not open that box expecting to see ...

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! MELISSA, you win overall most awesome tacky ornament EVER! She even made a scarf for him/her!
